Early Impressions of Wind Waker HD

So I went out and got myself not only a Wii U (expect me to give my opinions on it in a later post), but I also got myself the Deluxe version that comes with Wind Waker HD. The game is changed up a bit, but is largely the same. Be advised that there will be minor spoilers ahead.

What I Hope Changes In the Wind Waker Remake

Since we're less than a week away from the release of Wind Waker HD for the Wii U, I'm going to do another post on it. This one is more on the opposite end of the spectrum as the last one though. This is going to be things that I feel need to be repaired about the Gamecube classic. These are not all necessarily things I hated about the game, but things that I thought could at very least be improved on.

Now, before I go on, I must say that I have not been keeping up with what will be in the game. There's a very good chance that one or more of these things may have already been confirmed or shot down already. I'm still going to go on and say those things which I would change.

10 Things I Love About Wind Waker

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is going to be released in just over a week. This is an HD remake of the original Wind Waker, which was released back in 2003 on the Game Cube.

I'll never forget when the original was released. It was such a departure from the rest of the series that I was actually almost choking it down for the first several hours I played. It was a great game and everything, but it just didn't feel like a Zelda. It wasn't until a few twists and turns after the first few dungeons that I began to really see it as a Zelda game, and what a fine Zelda game it wound up being. It's not my #1 game in the series, but it's easily in the top 5 in a series that I consider to be full of excellent games (and a LOT of them). Here are 10 reasons why I love this game.

The James Franco Roast: My Take

I'm a huge fan of roasts. I love the old Friars Club Roasts from back in the day (well before I was born). They have some of the true legends of comedy really laying it down on each other. Over the last many (over 10) years, Comedy Central has taken the torch and has been holding roasts of their own. Some of these have been outstanding, and there have been a couple of weak ones as well.

In Defense of the 2DS

I won't lie, I'm a huge fan of Nintendo. I grew up with Nintendo, and many of my favorite games from early in life were Nintendo games. However, I was not happy when the final information on the Wii U was announced, and to this date have not yet purchased a Wii U (the Windwaker HD version is very tantalizing though). I did get a 3DS shortly after it was released, and to be honest, I'm happy I did. I've put a lot of time in on it. However, the 2DS? What can this do for me?

This is my blog to talk about my views on pop culture. This will cover television shows, movies, video games, music, and other general pop culture topics. However, with me there is always a twist. I'm not really a fan of popular culture, no, my idea of pop culture isn't what's really popular in those areas, it's what I feel is really good in those areas. It's not necessarily counterculture either, as I have my issues with that as well.
